Light and useful for glass, screens, electronics, safety glasses

Nice pack of microfiber hanks. I use mine mainly for wiping glasses, sunglasses, computer screens, and safety glasses. Not sure about how well they absorb sweat or water, as once they're soaked or have a bunch of sweat on them, I'm wouldn't be able to clean off my various glasses or screens. That said, they're a decent size - if they were full handkerchief size, they would be bulkier in the pocket. At their size here (10 x 10), they're too small to be useful like a bandana, but weigh nothing and disappear in a pocket or bag for the most part. These say microfiber, and I believe that they are. But if you're thinking of the "high pile" microfiber towels you might use for cleaning the house, these are not thick like that. These are more like the thinner "low pile" microfiber you might get complimentary with a nice pair of glasses. I'd say these are a little thicker than that even, but not the sensory nightmarish thick pile of a cleaning rag. I hope that makes sense to people. If you're hoping this can be as versatile as a traditional 22" square handkerchief/bandanna that can be used for all sorts of nonsense, I'd say no. But in terms of what I need a hank for these days, this is great and I use it daily. Highly recommended.

Good size, and surprisingly well made.

I had to get some of these because the typical microfiber cloths you always see for glasses, etc. are way too small. These actually work with adult human hands. They're also thicker than most MF cloths and stitched around the edges. I even like how subtle the logo is. At 10 by 10 inches, they might be too small as a sweat towel/wipe, though...But again, for things like glasses, phone screens, watches, pocket knives, etc. they're a perfect size. They arrived quickly and minimally packaged in one of those heavy zipper bags with the plastic slider to keep them clean. The price might seem a little high, but they are noticeably better than most with regard to materials and manufacture. These are worth keeping and throwing in the wash as opposed to just throwing them out when they get really oily, dusty, or whatever.

Good, versatile hankies that can do everything

These handkerchiefs are on the thicker side. If you use one to blow your nose or otherwise absorb liquids, it's a different experience from the typical thin cotton. It doesn't absorb moisture in exactly the same way; at first, it seems to be much less absorbent - stuff just kinda hangs out on the surface for a minute. However, it's sort of a tortoise-vs-hare thing - while they absorb slowly, they absorb *more* moisture, it spreads throughout the material so it doesn't feel as wet, and dry in much less time. They're also softer and gentler on a sore nose than cotton, which can feel surprisingly abrasive. That's not to say these have evicted my cotton handkerchiefs from the rotation; sometimes one or the other is just a better fit. These can be a little bulkier when folded down to fit in a back pocket, for instance.Where they leave cotton behind completely is that they're also good for everything else that you'd want from a microfiber cloth. In fact, the added thickness makes them quite a bit nicer to use on things like sunglasses and phone screens versus the thin microfiber wipes that come with everything. And if you've got a problem with skin oils building up (I slug my sunglasses) then these will take that off almost instantly. Afterwards, whatever you did with it, just toss it into the washing machine, let it dry on a hanger or whatever, and it'll be good to go for another day. (As with any such product, it's best if you avoid fabric softener or excessive detergent - less is more.)I highly recommend them for commuting and travel. They can disappear into a bag until you need one to save the day. If you're on an extended trip and you end up using them a lot, you can wash them in a hotel sink at night and they'll likely be dry by morning.

Incredible absorbing qualities and dries fast

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have a condition called craniofacial hyperhidrosis so I sweat from my face, head and neck profusely day and night whether it is -10 degrees or 90 degrees.  It is a very frustrating and, frankly, embarrassing condition.  For years now I have taken to carrying mounds of paper towels with me that I fold up into a square and bury into all of my pockets and my purse.  You know how sometimes women will carry money in their bra for safekeeping?...I carry paper towels just in case the ones I have stashed everywhere else on and around me get used.  I went on a weekend trip a few months back, left on Friday morning and returned on Sunday evening, and went through an entire roll of paper towels over the course of the trip.  Needless to say, I am someone who can very much benefit from a product like these sweat handkerchiefs.  Over the years I have tried using towels, rags or other types of cloth to help combat the issue, but I found that they were all very bulky and once they got wet with sweat they stopped absorbing sweat as well.  When I saw these I thought I had nothing to lose by trying them so I ordered them.  When they arrived I was a little surprised by how they felt...they are very similar, if not the same, as the type of cloth that you would use to clean your eyeglasses/sunglasses or computer screen/phone screen, and I was confused as to how they would help absorb sweat at all.  Still, couldn't hurt to try.  I put one in my purse and off I went.  Within minutes I, of course, started to sweat and pulled the little handkerchief from my purse and began using it to blot the sweat from my face and forehead.  At first it felt a little odd because the texture of the fabric is so different than a paper towel, but it was working and was absorbing the sweat, so I continued to use it.  I will say that when I used a rubbing motion instead of a blotting motion across my skin, it did feel like it was pulling my skin just a little, but didn't hurt and was softer than a paper towel.  The interesting part was that it didn't feel like the cloth was getting wet at all...it was removing the sweat from my face, but the cloth still felt dry to the touch.  I had assumed that after using it for a short while that I would have to go to a sink and squeeze out the liquid that it absorbed, but that wasn't happening.  I continued to use the handkerchief over the course of the following 3-4 hours and even though I was sweating at my normal rate, I didn't have to squeeze it out at all.  When I got home, I wanted to wash the one I had used, but wasn't going to throw just one handkerchief into the washing machine, so I hand washed it using a small amount of dish detergent; even then it didn't get soaked, but it did get wet enough that I had to wring it out.  I noticed that when I wrung it out the water looked dirty...this made a little sense because I had used it to clean sweat from my face/neck/head, but it was a little dirtier than I thought it should be, so I decided I would wash another handkerchief, one that hadn't been used at all.  I did the same thing with that handkerchief and put a small amount of dish detergent on it and when I wrung that one out, the water had the same dirty look to it.  I realized that the "dirt" was likely the dye that was used to color the handkerchief black that was bleeding a little.  No big deal, I just decided to wash all of them so that I didn't end up using one and having the dye get all over my skin!  I air dried all of them and was impressed by how quickly they dried, but then again, when I used one it didn't stay wet after absorbing my sweat so I really wasn't all that surprised.  I have to say that I am pretty impressed by these handkerchiefs.  I have taken to carrying at least two with me at all times, but have only needed to use one of the two so far.  I have yet to launder them in a washing machine and don't think I will because they feel like they are better off being hand-washed and air dried.  I am very happy that I decided to order these and even happier that they live up to their claims!!  I can absolutely see myself ordering these again, if not for help to control my sweating, then certainly for cleaning eyeglasses, sunglasses, phone screens and computer screens.  This is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone who needs help with sweat control...it is a real condition and a real frustration for those who have it...if these handkerchiefs can help in a small amount, it is worth it!

Great For Screens, Not Sure About Sweat

These come as a six-pack of cloth “handkerchiefs” with surged edges—simple, neat, and functional. The listing suggests they're good for wiping sweat. I haven’t tested that part yet, so maybe I’m wrong, but they don’t feel like the first thing I’d reach for during a heatwave. What they are great for is cleaning: screens, glasses, mirrors—anywhere a soft cloth matters. I’ve stashed a few in the truck, camper, purse, and around the house, and they’ve been handling unglamorous work steadily and easily.Verdict: Solid utility cloths that I probably won’t be waving dramatically across my brow, but I’ll keep using for everything else.
