These versatile, super soft, and absorbent towels with a suede-like finish are ideal for gym, yoga, travel, or cooling off when wet. With compact-size portability, and lightweight materials, they come with three storage bags for travel-friendly organization. These towels are durable, reusable, and machine washable, making them great for frequent use in various activities.
Things to consider:
The 12" x 40" size may be too small for some uses, or too big for preference. The suede-like material might not appeal to all. The cooling effect is temporary, requiring re-wetting, and the 3-pack may not suffice for heavy users. The storage bags’ durability is questionable.
Overall, this 3-pack of sweat towels with storage bags offers versatility and practicality. The towels feel surprisingly thick, and well-made, compared to the other mesh designs. The suede-like finish will be particularly be more useful in the winter, or colder days, as these are thicker, and I'll require something more durable against the colder environment. These could also work for camping, hiking or other various outdoor activities, as they are more sweat-absorbing, than a cooling. But it could ideally work as a cooling towel if needed. I also appreciate how these are machine washable. The storage bag durability is questionable, as it feels thin, and not tear-resistant. Because of the size of the towels and and their thickness, these storage bags are just that.. Only storage, and I feel the towels would last longer the storage bag themselves. Regardless, it's still not bad considering you get a good value of a 3-pack, and in my opinion, these are really good towels.
I'll start with that I am a HEAVY sweater. Hard sessions at the gym or hot days outside will leave my entire shirt soaked. I've been using these towels and they do exactly what I need them to do and they do it well! Initially, these towels felt quite stiff and starchy, but of course as I used them, they softened up and did a great job of wiping and absorbing sweat. The proportions of the towel (12 inches x 40 inches) is different from traditional towels, but it has plenty of fabric to handle me. The dimensions make a lot of sense as a neck cover / towel. Someone took one of these towels and put some ice water on it to leave wrapped on their neck and the towel did a good job of retaining the cold water for that hot summer day.
The price per towel is pretty good value since after using them a couple times and throwing them through the laundry, they still feel great (low scent laundry detergent, no fabric softener, hang dry). The included bag is a bonus for some, but quite useless for me as I just end up folding them and throwing them in my bag. That’s just potentially my laziness! Maybe useful if you were bringing them for others since it gives it a better presentation as a brand new clean towel. Overall, I am very satisfied with these towels and they get the job done. A 3 pack is great for splitting it up or for a family.
I have tried a few types of these cooling towels within the last year, & these are among my favorite. There is another one that I do prefer over these, but that's only because it's larger (it would be in my review history, but I won't name it here, even though it's no longer available for purchase). That one has a large pocket at one end, and a magnet, which gets in my way, so if these were larger, I would choose these, hands down. They are similar to that one in so many ways, which is why I even mention it. These have a very soft, suede-like feeling, & are made from an 80% polyester & 17% nylon blend material.
This is great, but if they're similar to this other sports towel I keep mentioning, it likely won't remain this soft over time. I use them 6 days a week, & rinse them out with water after every use before hang-drying them. After about 3 months of (almost) daily use, the material eventually begins to feel weathered (for lack of a better description). For some reason, the only thing that comes to mind that I can compare that weathered feel to is when, as a child, we used to take a paper grocery bag & crumble it, stretch it back out to normal, then repeat about 20+ times (which was supposed to make it feel like leather). Personally, I don't mind this, because I prefer function over form. I don't want to overstate this, though, because it's still soft, but just not the same as it was originally (it's possibly like suede after it has been wet, then dried out). This cooling towel (unlike the other that said it was only to be washed with water, & couldn't be tumble dried), says it's machine washable & dryable (on low, without a dryer sheet). This may actually affect it differently than just water & hang drying does, but I'm not willing to risk trying it, since water & hang drying work fine.
Speaking of function, it can be used as a cooling towel (to be moistened so it will keep you cool), or a sweat rag (using it dry so it will absorb sweat, either when sitting/laying on a workout bench/machine, or wiping your face throughout your routine). Personally, I prefer to use this as a sweat rag. I put it on the seat of my exercise bike, & it catches all of my sweat. This makes the bike much easier to clean afterwards, because I sweat a LOT. Since this comes with 3 separate towels, I can also use another to wipe my face throughout my 90 minute ride. The other towel I compared this set to is still a little larger than the size of 2 of these combined, so I thought I may need to use 2 of these to get the same amount of absorption. That actually wasn't the case, because just one on my exercise bike seat worked well enough for me.
One amazing aspect of this type of towel is the lack of smell. No matter how much I sweat on them, after they're rinsed out with water, they have absolutely no smell. Traditional cloth towels will begin to absorb bad smells over time if you only use water (no detergent or soap) to wash them, so I really appreciate this aspect. These also keep their shape over time, which is impossible with a traditional cloth towel (the edges will eventually start to unravel & shrink, etc, when only rinsed with water & hang dried, which causes the towel to lose its perfect rectangular shape). They also work well as a cooling towel, if that's what you prefer. I exercise in front of a fan, so this is not something I need. I also sweat excessively, so the amount of cooling that any cooling towel provides just isn't enough to prevent my body from pouring sweat, sadly.
There are 3 separate towels included here, & each has its own carrying bag. The bag has a loop on the end so you can hang it on the handles of the machine you're using, or to just make it easier to carry (on a finger or a key ring, etc, if you so desire). It's also ventilated, having a mesh opening on one side, so it doesn't potentially mold or smell. The retail price is $18.99, which is about $6.33 per towel. This is a great deal in my opinion. I would absolutely feel satisfied if I bought these at retail price. I don't have a single criticism of them. Originally, I wished they were larger, but in practice this 40x12 size has been adequate for everything I've needed. They may not have all of the extra, unnecessary features that some of the competition has, but I actually prefer the simplicity here, because many of those unnecessary features just got in my way (& likely inflated the price). The phrase "less is more" finally makes sense to me. To me, these cooling towels deserve the highest possible rating of 5 stars.
I've used many gym towels over the years, but this set really stands out. The microfiber material feels soft and gentle on the skin. It's lightweight without feeling flimsy. Even after a heavy workout, it absorbs sweat quickly and efficiently. These towels do not get heavy or soggy like traditional cotton ones. They stay comfortable to use throughout the session.
The cooling feature actually works well. When slightly damp, the towels give off a refreshing, cool feel that helps during hot yoga or outdoor runs. I tried them during a hike and was impressed with how much cooler I felt just by placing one around my neck. They are ideal for summer or humid environments.
Each towel comes with its own storage bag, which I really appreciate. The mesh design of the bags allows the towels to breathe and dry even when stored right after use. It helps keep my gym bag organized and clean. The bags are also great for travel or camping.
At 12 inches by 40 inches, the size is perfect for wrapping around the neck or draping over shoulders. It is not too bulky to carry but still provides plenty of coverage. I use one in my gym bag, keep one in the car, and leave the third at home. It is convenient to have all three available.
After multiple washes, the towels have held up well. No fraying, no shrinking, and they dry quickly after every use. They do not trap odor either, which is a huge plus. They still feel soft and perform like new.
I also noticed that they do not leave lint or residue on clothes or equipment. The stitching is neat and consistent. I have used other microfiber towels that started coming apart at the edges, but these feel more durable.
The absorbency is excellent for how thin they are. I was skeptical at first but surprised by how well they soak up moisture. Whether I am lifting weights or in a cardio class, one towel gets me through the entire session.
The towels pack down small so they do not take up much space. That makes them perfect for camping or any trip where space is limited. They are also handy for road trips or long travel days. I even used one as a quick-dry hair towel in a pinch.
They dry so fast that I have washed one in the evening and had it ready to go again the next morning. I would definitely recommend these for anyone active or always on the move. They are also a thoughtful gift idea for fitness enthusiasts.
The quality exceeded my expectations, especially at this price point. Everything about the design feels well considered. No gimmicks, just practical and reliable performance.
If you are looking for affordable, reusable gym towels that are compact, soft, and fast-drying, this set is a great pick. I have used them in the gym, at home, on hikes, and even at the beach. Every time, they have delivered.
I have nothing negative to say about these. I would absolutely buy them again without hesitation.
This three pack of gym towels and storage cases arrived quickly and in perfect condition. They look exactly like those pictured in the description by the seller. It's worth noting that these are not full body towels, but they are smaller towels for absorbing your sweat or wiping down your equipment at the gym or while exercising.
If you are familiar with camping towels that are very compact and thirsty, you will be pleased that this set is made of the same quick dry, thin, and highly absorbent material. If you are somebody who is looking for a small towel to take with you when you go camping and just need something to soak up the water after you bathe in a spring or go swimming and don't mind just wiping off your body instead of wrapping yourself in a towel, these may work well for you. They are plenty thirsty to absorb water, they dry fast, and they store in the portable included case so they don't take a lot of room when every ounce counts.
The three pack is a real great value and perfect for anyone who might enjoy water rides at an amusement park and need to pack a towel to soak up the excess water afterwards. I really love the portability, the thirstiness, the included cases, and the great price. The only con worth identifying is that the size is truly compact like a workout towel and not a bath towel, so this aspect may be disappointing for people who are used to large towels. Highly recommended.
